Solo Steam Loco "Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara" is a series of old fashioned steam wich have two carriage. That steam made by Maschinenbau Chemitz, German in 1896. meanwhile the raw material of the carriage was made from teak wood in 1906. This steam loco brought to Solo on September 10, 2009 and has been tested through Ambarawa. Solo steam Loco Jaladara began operating on September 27, 2009 and has been inagurated by the Minister of Transportation, Jusman Syafii Djamal. Before operated in Solo, this loco train is in museums Ambarawa.
The name of "Jaladara" comes from the carriage of God that was gift to the God of Krishna ( in the Hinduis religion ) to be the vehicle that can eradicate the evil. By using the name of Jaladara loco steam may bring happiness, prosperity and become the safely transportation for passengers.
This train serves passenger twice a week, on Saturday afternoon at 16.30 and Sunday at 10.00. Departure from Purwosari station and in the year of 2010 this train will run only on national holidays or school holidays.
